Self-dehydrating breather Comem eSDB
Moisture is a leading cause of transformer aging. Avoiding moisture ingress into the transformer is of paramount importance to avoid outages and maximize the lifetime of the asset.
Comem eSDB has digital and analog output and data monitoring through Modbus and 4-20 mA. It increases transformer reliability, reduces operating costs, is maintenance-free and easy to install.
Continuous moisture absorption is ensured by two independent silica gel tanks working alternatively on time-based or condition-based principles.
ABB offers a wide range of self-dehydrating breathers for various applications
power distribution center (e-house)
Custom-engineered, prefabricated, modular outdoor enclosures designed to house a range of electrical and automation equipment.
E-houses can be skid or wheel mounted and are ready to operate in the field with minimum installation, commissioning and start up time - as an alternative to traditional on-site building construction (concrete block, brick construction or similar).
Proximity to major suppliers during design / construction makes the changes and integration easier. The E-House is tested before shipping including all its components, which minimizes risks in the field. Its mobility makes it easy and cost effective to install and relocate. E-House can be installed close to the main loads which reduces the power and control cable size and length. By being close to the loads the energy cost is lower.
Indoor current sensor KECA 80 C85
Electronic instrument transformers (Sensors) offer the current measurements for the protection and monitoring of medium voltage power systems up to 4000 A, up to 0.72 kV.
Sensors based on alternative principles have been introduced as successors to conventional instrument transformers in order to significantly reduce size, increase safety, and to provide greater rating standardization and a wider functionality range.
The current sensor is based on the principle of Rogowski-coil. The sensor consists of an air-core winding, immune of any risk of saturation as it has no ferromagnetic core. It is linear over the whole measuring range. The output signal is a voltage, which is proportional to the derivative of the current. A digital integration of this voltage is carried out by IED and gives the measured current.
The current sensor type KECA 80 C85 is intended for use in current measurement in gas insulated medium voltage switchgear. The design of the current sensor has been optimized to be easily assembled on the shielded cable T-connectors and therefore makes the sensor suitable for retrofit purposes.
The current sensors can be used for both measuring and protection purposes.

Indoor voltage sensors KEVA B
Electronic instrument transformers (Sensors) offer the voltage measurements for the protection and monitoring of medium voltage power systems up to 24 kV.
Sensors based on alternative principles have been introduced as successors to conventional instrument transformers in order to significantly reduce size, increase safety, and to provide greater rating standardization and a wider functionality range.
The voltage sensor is based on a resistive divider. This sensor is non-saturable and linear over the whole measuring range. The output signal is a voltage, which is proportional to the primary voltage.
The voltage sensor KEVA B has been designed to be used as a post insulator but can be used as a stand-alone unit as well.
